The Work We Do in Columbia
Columbia work is builder work first. We've run apartment complex renovations where every unit gets gutted and the dumpsters swap out on a schedule, and new builds around the university. When a job needs three or four dumpsters at once, that's a normal order for us.
The homeowner side is steady too. Forest Acres and the older neighborhoods remodel year after year, roofs come off along Two Notch, and the subdivisions out Garners Ferry take driveway drops like anywhere else. The truck comes straight down I-20 from Lugoff, about half an hour on a clear day.
Placement in the city takes more thought than out in the county. Student-area streets are tight, plenty of Forest Acres driveways are short, and a downtown job sometimes needs the street, which means a city permit first. Tell us what the spot looks like when you book and the driver will plan the drop before he leaves the yard.
Common jobs in Columbia
- Apartment renovations. Complex-wide gut-outs with dumpsters swapping on a schedule.
- Roof tear-offs. Shingles weigh more than they look, so we size by the square count.
- Remodel debris. Kitchens and baths in the older neighborhoods.
Where we run in Columbia
- Downtown and the USC area. Apartment and student-housing jobs, tight placements.
- Forest Acres. Older-home remodels and driveway drops.
- The Two Notch corridor. Roofing and commercial strips.
- Garners Ferry. Newer subdivisions on the southeast side.
Past the town line we also cover West Columbia, Cayce, Irmo, Arcadia Lakes, Hopkins, Eastover, and the roads between them. None of those need their own page, our trucks already run through them.
