A Family-Owned Dumpster Company in Lugoff, SC

AMC Waste Services is run by Zack and Amanda out of Lugoff, on the Kershaw County side of the river. Call the number and one of them picks up. We've been at this 20 years, we deliver 7,000 to 9,000 dumpsters a year across the Midlands, and the lifetime count is somewhere past 150,000.

How AMC Waste Services Started

The company started with Zack's dad. He got his CDL, went to work driving for a dumpster outfit, and when that business went under he bought it all out of repossession, trucks and all, financed at a brutal rate during the 2008 recession. It started as dumpsters and a clearing and grading company, then went strictly dumpsters, and grew off two big builder contracts, Hurricane Builders and Mungo Homes. Zack grew up around it and has run it for six years now.

Why We Keep So Many Dumpsters

Zack was a hard-throwing right-handed pitcher before this, good enough to be looking at the draft in college until his arm gave out. The work ethic came with him. We keep a big fleet of dumpsters on purpose, which is why a contractor can get three or four on a job at once and a swap the same week, and why a homeowner isn't waiting a week for a dumpster to come back from the landfill.

The Drivers Who Show Up

Two of our drivers have been here a long time: Howard has driven for the company for 18 years, going back to Zack's dad, and Matt for seven. We don't have much turnover. People come to work here and they stay, and that's who shows up at your house or your job site.

Giving Back in Kershaw County

We give back where we can. AMC has been a platinum donor to the Shrine Club for 18 years, which supports children's burn victims and children's hospitals.
